Yes. Original music is alive and well in this little big SAYTOWN.  If you are hoping to clean out your heart cockles with some pleasantly unique frequencies, then Main Street is the place to be.  You will begin traveling on another plane of existence after listening to their vibe.  Really.

The Robert Johnson show with the SA Blue Cats and friends looks particularly interesting…but all live acts are essentially magic.  Let’s list them, shall we?

Friday 10/28/2016: The Taking with Down Generation & Remanon

Saturday 11/12/2016: Mickey and the Motorcars with Saints Anlogue

Thirteen hot poets & a live jazz band, mix with a world class vibe and delicious food. This all happens at Jazz and Poetry with a Purpose where we spread the message with an overall theme and consciousness. The theme for January 2016 “Keeping the dream alive in a new season.”

As we reflect on resolutions how do we revitalize the plans we’ve made for ourselves? Also some of you may want to pay tribute to Dr. MLK JR. Put it in a poem people, and let the dreams flow.

Carmen and Vocab are waiting to see you!!

It starts at 6:30 but you should plan to get there early.  No outside food and they ask that strollers be kept at a minimum or that families use the umbrella types.

So, it’s been a minute but all the craziness in Orlando has me not wanting to put people out there in the world…

…but we’re Americans and we don’t stop for anybody…do we?

So let’s do this.

SAN ANTONIO – Nothing explains the Texan identity quite like the Texas Folklife Festival. Through its three days, visitors can experience for themselves what it means to be Texans. For a native Texan, it’s a reminder and for a visitor or first-time festival attendee, it’s an explanation.
Texans from around the state will gather at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures for the 45th annual Texas Folklife Festival, June 10 to 12, to celebrate their heritage and pass along their culture to the next generation. more…
