For years, San Antonio has consistently maintained a record amount of MLK March attendees; beating out the largest metroplexes.  I believe it has something to do with the diversity in this great city.  If you have ever been to a march, you were probably more than just pleasantly surprised to see the many different people who walked with you.  The essence of peace is in the air as well as a coming-together of beautiful souls from different backgrounds.

The march starts at 10:00.  Hope to see you there.

VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer complimentary bus service to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.

To access the service, riders are asked to park at Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Houston St. (Lot 1), or St. Philip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther King Dr. (Lot 22), between 8 and 10 a.m., Monday. The drop-off point for service to the march will be on MLK Drive, west of Upland Drive. The pick-up location for return service will be at Pittman Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa St. Buses will return between noon and 3 p.m.”

Tap into yourself with a fluid vinyasa yoga class hosted inside the Freetail Brewing Co. Southtown brewery. After class, sip on a cold pint of local craft beer and socialize with fellow yogis in the Freetail Taproom. This all level class is a great way to introduce beer lovers to the practice of yoga in a casual and lighthearted environment. It’s also a perfect opportunity for yogis to enjoy the heightened pleasure of a post-asana brew.

Alamo City Rollergirls Las Pistoleras T-ShirtFrom the Alamo City Rollergirls “About” page:

Our league was founded in 2005 by Kat “Kitty Glitter” Feuerbackner and Cate “Nita Spankin” Compton. These two awesome ladies were on a mission to bring derby to San Antonio, Texas, where our league still calls home today. The founding duo was able to recruit skaters and volunteers and form a league that could be nationally recognized.

Tonight, the Alamo City Rollergirls are trying out a new flock of vicious vixens. No, you do not have to be a professional on skates or even own a pair. Go to the website to find out how you can support the team.

RECAP:  Live Oak, TX and their awesome Halloween Party.

Fun.  Had an opportunity to speak to the City Manager (Scott Wayman).  Thank you for the convo.

Citizens of Say Town will be given free admission to the Natatorium with a donation of two canned goods.  Swim and teach your little ones to swim.  Don’t make the same mistake I did. Your body, mind and soul will thank you.

Public Service Announcement for real.
