This, my friends, was described as the “Grandaddy of All Pro Jams”.  Only the best of the best dare to step foot on THAT stage.

The gauntlet was thrown.  Guess who was there to scoop it up?

Tonight, I will place my name in that proverbial bowl for the reaping with Randy Sherrod (bass) and the Doyle “Twins of Doom” rounding out the foundation.  (The last time I sang for them was for a saving grace at a funeral.  People saw.)

So, ya know, ain’t skeered.

It is advisable to “git thar earlee”.

8:40 PM – UPDATE: The review describing the bartendress IS true.

9:27 PM – CANCELED

10:01 PM – Still here -discussing business with the female management, adding to the till, and “It’s a long way to the top if you want to Rock and Roll” blasts over the stereo

I think I met TheTeacher.

Yeah.  But I’m not.  But I am.  Master’s level database class and stuff.

Sooo…

Hey!  How has 2017 been treating you?  Real life has my full attention and sleep is fleeting as I organize for Web Year Eleven in my business PARADIGM.  I love that word.  It makes more sense than this Texas Winter, I’ll tell you that.  The sun was like, “ohhh don’t you forget, summer is RIGHT around the corner ready to put that heat on your…” you know the rest.

Ok.  I fixed my jacked public calendar automation for the upcoming events that you can view on the left sidebar.  Please check back often to see all of the great events in and around the San Antonio Metroplex.  That’s automated. Doesn’t need sleep.

The San Antonio Food Bank is desperately in need of volunteers.

Jake Castillo Trio because it is Wednesday and Mr. Castillo liked one of my SoundCloud tunes. Yes. That works.

Merry New Year!

Wayne Wilson graced the first post of the launch of Where To Go 210.  Imagine my surprise when I found out I worked with his lovely wife!  She gave me a card and a heads up on this week’s San Antonio Fanzine post for date night, Friday December 16th, 2016.

Where: The Lion and the Rose (The Rim)
When: 8:00 – 11:00
Gastro-Meter: The food is supposedly off-the-charts good!  Ye olde English Pub fare.

I’ll be there, plying Wayne’s wife with drinks and singing along.  Hope to see you there, too.  Find me, say wonderful things about this blog, and I might buy you a pint.

Yes. Original music is alive and well in this little big SAYTOWN.  If you are hoping to clean out your heart cockles with some pleasantly unique frequencies, then Main Street is the place to be.  You will begin traveling on another plane of existence after listening to their vibe.  Really.

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, the four musicians that form the entity entitled Paris certainly have a fascinating story to share. Upon meeting in 2009 while partaking in a previous musical affair, vocalist and guitarist Lynn Gunnulfsen and drummer Brad Griffin soon met eye to eye on one thing: something didn’t feel quite right…more

He’ll be at Sam’s Burger Joint this Thursday, April 14th promoting his newest cd “Untold Stories”. I told him he’s still an honorary Texan even though he hails from Finland.  He’s been providing South Texas with his Texopean style for well over 18 years and calls his north side Say Town residence ‘home’ when he’s not tearing it up in Europe and Asia.  He’s on lists that also include names like “Clapton” and “Pink Floyd” and is sponsored by Gibson GLOBALLY.  Musical street creds? đź’Ż

I missed his previous appearance at Sam’s Burger Joint last year and literally would writhe in pain when people gushed about his performance.  Get your tickets early.  He dabbles with time signatures that use the number 7 in the denominator.  ComprendĂ©?

You kinda have to hear it to understand.

Thanks for the coffee, the excellent music and the faith, Señor Tuominen.

…and no, I’m not Black Coffee but that’s an awesome band/stage name.
