Good Tidings, my friends.
Wayne Wilson graced the first post of the launch of Where To Go 210. Imagine my surprise when I found out I worked with his lovely wife! She gave me a card and a heads up on this week’s San Antonio Fanzine post for date night, Friday December 16th, 2016.
Where: The Lion and the Rose (The Rim)
When: 8:00 – 11:00
Gastro-Meter: The food is supposedly off-the-charts good! Ye olde English Pub fare.
I’ll be there, plying Wayne’s wife with drinks and singing along. Hope to see you there, too. Find me, say wonderful things about this blog, and I might buy you a pint.
The old school kind of Monopoly with the cash…
Amazon Prime is delivery on roids. Just hear me on this.
It looks like The Jake Castillo Trio took that Wednesday night house spot at Drink Texas. Gotta be impressed by their work ethic. These guys deserve the glory. They are true professionals.
If you need a Humpday break, this is the place to be.
Where: Drink Texas Stone Oak
@ 19903 Stone Oak Parkway (corner of Stone Oak and Hardy Oak)
I just might see you there.
…to the people who have followed my blog, made suggestions for betterment, and provided me with many kind gestures of recognition and support both on and offline.
I went to the source for this one. Nine years old and already knows the great kid/adult party spots. She spouted a week’s worth of fun out like a string of finely crafted pearls on a disco ball as I agonized over trivialities such as “appropriateness”. Yes, her parents ARE proud.
I dedicate this week of blogging to her because she saved my butt, again. In Yoda-like reverence, “Thankful, am I.”
Expect a new, fun place every day.
Today: The Friendly Spot ($$)
Head down to The Friendly Spot with the little ones. This place is set up like the backyard of that cool person in the neighborhood who opens their home up to those who are searching for a “good time”. Not quite like Goldie Hawn in “Private Benjamin” but more like keeping those “Stand By Me” bad kids from WALKING DOWN A TRAIN TRACK UNATTENDED!
Ratatouille will be tonight’s entertainment. Show starts at 6:30.
434 S. Alamo, 78205

Work on those chops with one of the best original artists in the city. Don’t be skeered! These three dynamos are super sweet. Don’t tell them I told you that!
